CONTINUATION OF THE PROGRAMMING CLASS!
These students are just awesome! let's keep them moving forward. in the continuation class we will go deeper into the programming and creative design process. We will be designing and programming a robot that can compete in ROBOGAMES 2012 . see robogames.net for more info. the description of events is here and we will start with the 500gram Sumo category. When the students excel we will move up to more challenging categories all the way up to 200 pound combat bots.
In this workshop, students will build and program a robot that uses a micro controller and electronic sensors to independently navigate in its environment. It sounds complicated…but it isn’t. Under the guidance of our expert staff, your kids will learn the fundamentals of programming, and leave our workshops with the ability to build competition-level robots on their own.
This is an advanced course but requires NO prior experience with robots, just familiarity with computers, a strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn.
This workshop will have four sessions scheduled, all meeting on Wednesday afternoons: 10/19, 10/26, 11/2 and 11/9. All sessions will be scheduled from 3:30-5:00 pm, unless otherwise stated. There is a minimum of 6 students per session; we reserve the right to cancel workshops that do not meet this minimum.
