Rolling Robots Del Amo hosted a free Battle Robot tournament for campers from the St. Mercurious and St. Abraam Coptic Church in Torrance. The competition was fierce -- no doubt about that -- but everyone left with a smile.
25 campers split up into two groups, one to battle, and the other to chill out at our Clics demo table. They rotated through the game for nearly two hours, which was just enough time for everyone to try out most every toy in the store. When the tournament ended, the camp's director, Nancy, tried rounding up her flock for lunch.
"Are you ready to go?" she asked.
"NOOOO!" came the chorus of campers, completely in unison.
So we gave the kids an extra game. What could you do?
A quick shout-out to the counselors at St. Abraam: Keep up the good work guys! These are all volunteers, donating their time to underprivileged kids to make sure they have unforgettable summers.
And we'll see you all again on Friday!
