POINTS
The Rolling Robots battle game is played by competing for points at multiple battle rings. Each ring is lettered either A, B or C, but only one is "activated" to distribute points. A blinking red light designates which ring is active and players must scramble to this activated ring in a race to grab the point. Each ring has a laser scanner at the center that will identify the first player to pass over it and award him or her a point. Only the first player to successfully scan in is awarded the point, so you have to be fast. You have to be agressive too; push other players out of the way or battle them with your customized weapon or secondary shield. Once a point is scanned, it will be recorded on the scoreboard and the computer will randomly activate a different battle ring. This prevents users from getting points by camping out motionless on the scanner window.

HAZARD AREA
The hazard area marked with Yellow and Black stripes drops you out of the game. If a player falls over the edge they cannot return to the game without first exiting and re-entering. If players are waiting you must pass your controller to the next in line. Players may try to push others out over the Hazard Area, creating power plays with fewer players on the arena battling for points.
TIME
The game time is extended when new players enter the game. Therefore it is advantageous for players to push other players out of the game over the Hazard Area. Once they are pushed out a new player can enterm, extending the game time.
TOURNAMENT PLAY
Tournaments are multi round events with the highest scoring players advancing to the next rounds. A round in a tournament is played on a fixed timer and players are not allowed to re-enter the game if they fall over the Hazard Area.
PLACEMENT OF THE BARCODE STICKER:
Your unique barcode sticker is used to identify your robot and records points during the game. The sticker must be positioned on the bottom of the robot so that it is visible by the laser scanners. Be sure that the bottom of the robot is clean before putting the sticker on, and if necessary, wipe it with a clean paper towel or clean with a little soap and water and dry thoroughly.
The sticker should be positioned as shown. The exact orientation is not important, see other examples below.
REGISTRATION:
Once you have identified the robot with your unique barcode sticker you can register at www.rollingrobots.com If you're under 18, get your parent’s permission first. The barcode is entered by typing in the numbers at the bottom of the sticker. You can also register in one of our stores by scanning your code at our registration terminal.
